Terms of Service

Effective October 17, 2026 · Operated by Physica Lab

These terms are the agreement between you and Physica Lab for use of this website, its physics simulations, downloadable material and AI tutor. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.

1. The service

Physica Lab provides interactive, browser-based physics simulations intended for teaching and study, together with optional features such as an AI tutor, downloadable material, cloud-saved circuit diagrams and offline activation. The service runs in your browser and requires a modern browser with WebGL.

Simulations are simplified models built for education. They are not a substitute for laboratory measurement, engineering analysis or professional advice, and must not be used where an incorrect result could cause harm.

2. Accounts

3. Plans, payment and renewal

Paid access is sold as a subscription. The available billing periods are monthly, every 6 months, and every 12 months. The current prices are published on our pricing page and are shown again on the checkout page before you pay.

Your subscription renews automatically. Every plan starts with a 3-day trial for $0.99. When the trial ends, the plan you selected renews automatically at its regular price — $9.99 every month, $49.90 every 6 months, or $89.99 every 12 months — and continues to renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. The renewal amount and date are disclosed on the checkout page before you pay, and we email a reminder before the trial converts.

You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further charge is made. We do not require an email or a phone call to cancel.

Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude tax. Sales tax, VAT and GST are calculated at checkout from your billing country. Your bank or card issuer may also apply a currency conversion or foreign transaction fee, which we do not control and cannot refund.

Creem acts as our merchant of record. This means Creem is the seller of record for your purchase, handles payment and the recurring charge, calculates and remits applicable sales tax and VAT, and issues your invoice or receipt. Your payment is also subject to Creem's own buyer terms. Where required, the invoice is issued by Creem rather than by us.

If a payment fails, Creem retries it on a schedule. Access is suspended while a payment is overdue and restored once it succeeds. If a payment is reversed, disputed or refunded, the access it paid for may be withdrawn.

Use of the AI tutor is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits using it to generate sexual or adult content.

4. Classroom licences

A Classroom licence covers a stated number of seats for a stated period and is intended for a single institution. Seats may be reassigned to different teachers or students within that institution, but the licence may not be shared between institutions or resold.

5. What you may and may not do

Subject to these terms and to payment of any applicable fee, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service and any material you download from it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or limit access to protect the service or other users, and will tell you why unless doing so would compromise an investigation.

7. The AI tutor

The AI tutor generates explanations using a third-party language model. Its answers are produced automatically and may be wrong, incomplete or misleading. Treat them as a study aid, verify anything important against your textbook or teacher, and do not rely on them for exam answers, safety-critical decisions or professional advice. Do not submit confidential or personal information about other people in your questions.

Free accounts have a daily question limit; paid plans include unlimited use subject to fair-use limits that protect the service from abuse.

8. Intellectual property

The service — including the simulations, code, 3D models, artwork, text and trademarks — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. These terms grant you a right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of anything.

Work you create and save (for example your own circuit diagrams) remains yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and display it back to you.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, add or retire simulations and features, and we may need to take the service down for maintenance. If we discontinue a paid feature during a period you have already paid for, we will offer a fair remedy, which may include a pro-rata refund.

10. Ending the agreement

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if your payment is reversed. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will give notice and a chance to put things right.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability — continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the simulations are free of errors or that results will meet your requirements.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or business interruption arising from your use of the service. Our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Physica Lab is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may bring a claim in the courts of the consumer's own country of residence where mandatory consumer law gives them that right.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us — most issues are settled quickly by email. Consumers in the EU may also use their national consumer dispute resolution body.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page changes when we do, and material changes are announced on the site or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. Changes do not retroactively alter the terms of a purchase you have already made.
